Please don't bring in elements from the reboot! I am a fan of both of these pairings through TOS and the original series movies only. For me, in their original incarnations, their dynamics are more interesting and the women are much more complex characters.
I like the original interpretation of Kirk as a studious, serious, no-joking-around cadet, and a mostly sober and thoughtful man. Anything throughout the Kirk/Marcus relationship would be great, but I'm especially drawn to the question of why he consented to step out of the Marcuses life entirely at Carol's request, how she feels about him, how her life was and is in the space where Jim Kirk no longer exists. If you want to go with sorrow and grief after David's death, I'll take that too! Or if you want to do something more lighthearted at the academy, have at it!
Spock/Uhura I have shipped since I was a little girl, based almost solely on the flirty way she interacted with him in Charlie X. I like that they didn't hook up in the series. I like that she had relationships with Scotty and possibly M'Benga and other nameless men. I like that their relationship was entirely professional. I wonder why. I wonder if there was something else. I wonder what she thought of the way Chapel mooned after him and how Spock treated Chapel. I'd love to read anything. Maybe you AU an episode where Uhura is his love interest or Spock hers? Maybe an unseen relationship between episodes or series or series and movies? Mirrorverse???? Whatever you'd like!

Pre-series, post-diagnosis, post-death, anything! Italy, Baltimore, childhoods, a conversation about mortality... I'm interested in anything that explores the relationship between them, in good periods or in bad. We know almost nothing about either. It would be great to learn more. I'd prefer the focus to be on the two of them and not, say, the two of them in reaction to another character, like Will or Miriam, but if that's what you'd like to write, go for it!

I ship it but I don't? You know? Like, Paris. Obviously. Everybody ships them in Paris. It's the perfect Fourth Doctor/Romana II episode. If you'd rather put them somewhere else on their (or someone else's) timeline, go for it! I like Romana II going off into E-space. I like Romana II thinking about how The Doctor reacts to her as II and as I. Something about being out in the galaxies vs being home on Gallifrey? Time War stuff? I don't know! Whatever your're into!

I HAVE SHIPPED IT FROM THE BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE. It is 100% my Parks and Rec OTP. I would read multi-book series about these two fighting and fucking and shopping and Donna cracking his head over stupid shit and them having catchphrases everyone else hates and no one understands what is happening here it's so weird and uncomfortable but they don't care because it's fun and they're happy and there are emotions and maturation and emotions and excessive spending and pet names that Donna just will not even deal with because they're so terrible. Anything, everything, give me it. GIVE ME DONNA/JEAN-RALPHIO.
